Susan is a registered dietitian, busy mom and owner of A Little Nutrition. She’s been helping clients with meal planning for years, and has seen all the challenges that people face when it comes to getting healthy meals on the table. She has found solutions to meal planning for the busy professionals, to stressed out stay-at-home moms with picky eaters, to the novice cook …She’s helped almost all walks of live, and will help resolve your meal planning problems!
Susan’s main nutrition focus is around healthy weight loss and weight management. Susan has struggled with the emotional and physical aspects of what it takes to maintain a healthy weight, and has healthfully managed two diabetic pregnancies. Susan helps her clients understand the behavioral aspects to healthy eating, and gives them practical solutions to move past their nutrition barriers. She educates on the basic principles to meal planning, portion control, calorie budgeting and physical activity, as she puts it all together in a personalized nutrition care plan for her clients.
On a personal note: Susan is a proud mama of two seriously cute kids who keep her on toes!
She is an foodie and enjoys spending time in her kitchen cooking up recipes for her blog or posting mouth watering pics on Instagram.
She loves coaching others and teaching nutrition. In 2016 she opened the doors to her second business Nutrition Academy where she hosts nutrition webinars and nutrition courses to both the public and medical professionals.
Susan enjoys volunteering with Dietitians of Canada as the co-chair for the Consulting Dietitians network where she spends much of her time advocating for more dietitian coverage on employee medical health insurance plans. She also created a course for dietitians to learn how to direct bill and accept assignment of benefits for clients.
In her down time, she like to spend time with her husband (doing his crazy stuff like quading, archery & backwoods camping). However, her favourite place is to be out on water paddling in the waves in her kayak.
