Briauna is a compassionate and approachable Occupational Therapist who supports children in developing the skills they need to take part in everyday activities in ways that feel comfortable, meaningful, and manageable for them. She works with children and families around areas such as fine and gross motor skills, feeding, toileting, emotional regulation, sensory processing, and sensory-motor development.

With four years of experience working in hospitals, schools, community programs, personal care homes, and geriatric settings, Briauna brings a broad perspective to her practice. These experiences have shaped her understanding of how a person’s environment, routines, strengths, and individual needs can influence participation and well-being.

As a Winnipeg Occupational Therapist, Briauna uses a neuro-affirming and strengths-based approach that respects the many different ways children experience, communicate, move through, and respond to the world around them. Her goal is not to change who a child is, but to better understand what supports may help them participate more comfortably and successfully in the activities that matter to them.

Briauna works collaboratively with children and caregivers to develop goals that are meaningful to the family. Strategies are designed to be practical, flexible, and realistic so they can be incorporated into everyday routines at home, school, and in the community.

Her sessions are welcoming, inclusive, and play-based, with an emphasis on trust, curiosity, and connection. Briauna enjoys incorporating each child’s interests into therapy and finding creative ways to support skill development while respecting individual preferences, boundaries, and ways of engaging.

Briauna is committed to continuing her professional development and expanding her clinical knowledge, including further learning related to reflex integration. She thoughtfully considers current evidence when selecting approaches and adapts her support to the individual child rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all model.

Above all, Briauna wants children and families to feel heard, respected, and supported. She looks forward to helping children build on their existing strengths, develop new skills, and participate more fully in the routines and activities that are meaningful to them.
