Briauna is an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about helping children participate more successfully in the activities and routines that shape their days. She works with children who need support with motor skills, sensory processing, emotional regulation, feeding, toileting, and greater independence in daily life.
Over the past four years, Briauna has worked in a variety of settings, including hospitals, schools, community-based programs, personal care homes, and geriatric care settings. These experiences have helped her understand how a person’s surroundings, routines, relationships, and individual abilities can affect participation and well-being. Today, she applies this broad perspective to her pediatric practice.
Briauna provides neuro-affirming and strengths-based occupational therapy. She values each child’s unique way of communicating, learning, moving, and interacting with the world. In partnership with children and their caregivers, she develops meaningful goals and realistic strategies that can be incorporated into home, school, and community routines.
Therapy with Briauna is playful, creative, and guided by the child’s interests. She prioritizes creating a safe and inclusive space where families feel listened to and children can develop skills without pressure to hide or change who they are. Briauna also remains committed to ongoing learning, including further education in reflex integration, and considers current evidence when selecting therapeutic approaches.
Briauna’s goal is to help families feel supported and equipped, and to help children strengthen their abilities, increase their confidence, and take part more fully in the activities that are important to them.
